It's that time of year again where your A/C unit is working on over time.
If you're running into air conditioning troubles, consider the following:
1. The age of your system
2. The type of your refrigerant your system contains
(this information can be obtained from the sticker on your outside unit)
3. Energy efficiency
When a service technician gives you the diagnosis of your air conditioning system, here are some facts about R22 to help you make an informed decision.
If your system contains R-22 it will be costly to repair, however it can be done, depending on the AC issue.
R-22 systems are most commonly replaced by an R410-A system.
Don't let cowboys recommend a replacement until the root of your issue is found. Only then can you weigh the pros and cons.
We all hear Technicians and Engineers ask how many tons of cooling do you have at your home....well I have attached an informative article explaining what exactly it is and how they came up with the term "ton". Click the link below to find out.
